The Home Gas Cayman Test Kitchen Series began this summer with two aspiring young chefs cooking up delicious meals with Cayman Youth Culinary Programme at Clifton Hunter High School. The video series aims to showcase the level of skill the youth in the National Youth Culinary Programme and will have a local and international reach – also promoting local recipes and ingredients! The 7-part series is co-hosted by Brittney Bodden & Ayanna Davis-Eden who have prepared unique culinary delights of Caymanian cuisine alongside international cuisine. Some episodes will even showcase some Cayman Islands underwater scenes and food stores and local farmer’s markets.

It is out hope that by helping to showcase these talented individuals it will inspire more young Caymanians to get involved in this field.” Says Gregg Radley, General Manager of Home Gas.

The entire production process was guided by our youth which offered a great hands on learning experience for everyone involved. “Now I know why actors and movies cost so much money. My experience in guiding the development of the seven part series of The Home Gas Test Kitchen was both tiring and exhilarating at the same time. Seeing the crew of young cameramen, photographers, editors and light techs rally around this concept and the way the skills of our young chef’s Brittney & Ayanna shone through it all was a dream come through.” Said James Myles, Youth Services Coordinator.

The ‘Home Gas Test Kitchen Video Series’ will be aired on the Cayman Life channel on Logic TV.
